Ron Goodwin (February 17, 1925 - January 8, 2003) was a highly acclaimed and veteran English composer, arranger, and conductor, known for his numerous film scores in a career lasting over fifty years. His most famous works include "633 Squadron" (1964), "Where Eagles Dare" (1968), "Battle Of Britain" (1969), "Frenzy" (1972), and several "Miss Marple" movies. With his orchestra, he recorded many albums and had a hit in 1957 on the Pop/Rock charts with "Swinging Sweethearts." Goodwin won three Ivor Novello Awards, including a lifetime achievement award.
