Bert Berns (November 8, 1929 - December 30, 1967), also known professionally under the names of Bert Russell and Russell Byrd, was a hitmaking songwriter and producer for other artists and a record label executive. As a recording artist, he is best known for "You'd Better Come Home" (1961, credited to Russell Byrd). Berns was inducted posthumously in 2016 into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as a non-performer and honored with the Ahmet Ertegun Lifetime Achievement Award.
