Sheldon David "Scott" English (January 10, 1937 - November 16, 2018) was a songwriter, arranger, and record producer best known as the co-writer of "Brandy." Co-written with Richard Kerr, this soft rock classic topped the charts for Barry Manilow in 1974 with the title, "Mandy." As a performing artist, English is best known for "High On A Hill" (1964) as well as his own hit rendition of "Brandy" (1972).
