Silvana Mangano (April 21, 1930 - December 16, 1989) was an Italian film actress who went on to become a major star. As a recording artist, she is best known in the U.S. for her Top 5 hit cover of the exotic "Anna (El N. Zumbon)" (1953), a baiao song written by Armando Trovajoli for the movie "Anna" (1951) starring Mangano. Jorgen Ingmann later also had a hit with an instrumental version of this song.
