Slave was a funk band from Dayton, OH that became famous in the late 1970s-early 1980s. Formed in late 1975 by Floyd Miller and Steve Washington, the original lineup also included Tom Lockett Jr., Carter Bradley, Mark Adams, Mark Hicks, Danny Webster, Orion Wilhoite, and Tim Dozier.
