The Spacemen were an instrumental studio band from the late 1950s formed by pianist and bandleader, Samuel Benskin (September 27, 1922 - August 26, 1992). This group is best remembered for "The Clouds" (1959) which topped the R&B charts and also became a minor Pop/Rock chart hit.
