Spike Jones And His City Slickers

ABOUT

Lindley Armstrong "Spike" Jones (December 14, 1911 - May 1, 1965) was a bandleader and conductor from the 1940s and early 1950s specializing in zany, side-splittingly funny arrangements of then-popular songs and classical music complete with outlandish sound effects and over-the-top vocals. Best known for the chart-topping "All I Want For Christmas (Is My Two Front Teeth)" (1948), other major hits include the mocking "Der Fuehrer's Face" (1942) and his raucous remake of the big band-era romantic ballad, "Cocktails For Two" (1945).
