Steve Allen (December 26, 1921 - October 30, 2000) was a hugely popular actor, comedian, author, TV and radio personality, musician, and songwriter who had several hits on the Pop/Rock charts from the late 1950s through early 1960s. His best known songs include his 1955 Top 40 rendition of the Roger Williams smash, "Autumn Leaves" (Steve Allen with George Cates & His Orchestra & Chorus).
