Stuart Hamblen (October 20, 1908 - March 8, 1989, b. Carl Stuart Hamblen) was a veteran country and gospel singer who became famous beginning in 1926 when he became one of radio's first singing cowboys before going on to become an actor, radio show host, and songwriter. He is best known for "This Ole House," which topped the Pop charts for Rosemary Clooney in 1954. Hamblen's own version became a Top 40 Pop hit that same year and reached #2 on the Country charts.
