Terence Trent D'Arby (b. 1962) is a Grammy-winning and veteran singer and songwriter who became famous during the late 1980s. He is best known for the upbeat and funky "Wishing Well" (1988), which topped both the R&B and Pop/Rock charts. D'Arby legally changed his name to Sananda Maitreya in 2001 and has continued to perform and record to the present day under that name.
