Gordon Lee "Tex" Beneke (February 12, 1914 - May 30, 2000) was a tenor saxophonist, singer, and bandleader with a long string of hits who became famous beginning in the late 1930s when he began performing with Glenn Miller as a featured soloist. His best known songs include "Hey! Ba-Ba-Re-Bop" (1946), "Give Me Five Minutes More" (1946), "Anniversary Song" (1947), and "St. Louis Blues March" (1948).
