ABOUT

The Uptown String Band was a ca. late 1940s ensemble led by Joseph Giardino who also served as the group's vocalist. They were one of several acts to have a hit in 1948 with "I'm Looking Over A Four Leaf Clover," a traditional pop standard co-written in 1927 by Mort Dixon and Harry M. Woods.
