The Valadiers are a veteran blue-eyed soul vocal group from Detroit, MI that became famous during the early 1960s. They are best known for the soulful "Greetings (This Is Uncle Sam)" (1961) about a reluctant young man being drafted into the army who doesn't want to leave his family and girlfriend behind.
