Vangelis (b. March 29, 1943) is a highly acclaimed Greek composer and keyboardist who became famous beginning in the late 1960s. He composed the score to the Academy Award-winning film, "Chariots Of Fire" (1981), which won him an Oscar. The movie's majestic "Title" theme topped both the Adult Contemporary and Pop/Rock charts.
