Mary Vesta Williams (December 1, 1957 - September 22, 2011), known professionally as Vesta, was a singer-songwriter with a four-octave range who became famous beginning in the late 1980s. She had many R&B Top 10 chart hits that included "Once Bitten, Twice Shy" (1986) and the Pop/Rock crossover, "Congratulations" (1989).
