ABOUT
Victor Lundberg (September 2, 1923 - February 14, 1990) was a newscaster at WMAX radio in Grand Rapids, MI who made a splash on the Pop/Rock charts with the controversial "An Open Letter To My Teenage Son" (1967), which made the Top 10, became a million-seller, and spawned several answer records. Over a musical background of "Battle Hymn Of The Republic," the narrator criticizes Vietnam War draft dodgers and the counterculture, and he tells his son that if he burns his draft card, then he might as well burn his birth certificate, [because] from that moment on, "I have no son."
