The Virtues were a ca. late 1950s instrumental rock & roll band from Philadelphia best known for "Guitar Boogie Shuffle" (1959), a remake of Arthur Smith's "Guitar Boogie." The lineup conisted of Jimmy Bruno (guitar), John Renner (sax), Joe Vespe (drums), and leader/bassist Frank Virtue (January 21, 1923 - June 11, 1994).
