When In Rome is an English synth-pop/new wave group that became famous during the late 1980s. They are best known in the U.S. for the Top 20 hit, "The Promise" (1988). The original lineup consisted of Clive Farrington (vocals), Michael Floreale (keyboards), and Andrew Mann (vocals), with some personnel changes over the years.
