Whitney Houston (August 9, 1963 - February 11, 2012) was a highly acclaimed and hugely popular R&B/pop singer, actress, and producer who became famous beginning in the mid 1980s. She is best known for her soaring and iconic smash rendition of the Dolly Parton-penned "I Will Always Love You" (1992), which is featured in the soundtrack to "The Bodyguard" (1992) in which she co-starred with Kevin Costner. Her many other chart-toppers include "Saving All My Love For You" (1985), "How Will I Know" (1985), "Greatest Love Of All" (1986), "I Wanna Dance With Somebody (Who Loves Me)" (1987), "Didn't We Almost Have It All" (1987), "So Emotional" (1987), "Where Do Broken Hearts Go" (1988), "I'm Your Baby Tonight" (1990), "All The Man That I Need" (1990), and "Exhale (Shoop Shoop)" (1995). One of the best-selling music artists of all time, her numerous honors include being inducted posthumously into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame (2020).
