Will Glahe (February 12, 1902 - November 21, 1989) was a highly acclaimed German accordionist, composer, and bandleader known for his arrangements of traditional German and international polkas who became famous beginning in the early 1930s. Best known in the U.S. for his chart-topping rendition of the jolly "Beer Barrel Polka" (1939), which became a million-seller, other hits include "Hot Pretzels" (1939) and "Liechtensteiner Polka" (1957).
