Billy "Crash" Craddock (b. 1939) is a highly acclaimed and veteran country/rockabilly singer who became famous during the mid 1970s. His best known songs include "Rub It In" (1974) and "Ruby, Baby" (1974), which both topped the Country charts and made the Pop/Rock Top 40. His long string of hits on the Country charts from 1971-1989 also includes the chart-topping "Broken Down In Tiny Pieces" (1977).

Born in Greensboro, North Carolina, he began playing the guitar as a child and at age 11, won a local TV talent show. He got his nickname "Crash" while playing running back for his high school's football team. He first gained popularity in Australia during the 1950s with a string of rockabilly hits before becoming famous in the U.S. when he switched to country music. Craddock was inducted into the North Carolina Music Hall of Fame in 2011.
