ABOUT
Every Mother's Son (aka Every Mothers' Son) was a sunshine pop band that became famous during the late 1960s. They are best known for the laid-back and carefree "Come On Down To My Boat" (1967), an era-defining oldies classic that expresses themes of love, adventure, and life's simple pleasures. This Top 10 smash was followed by "Put Your Mind At Ease" (1967), "Pony With The Golden Mane" (1967), and "No One Knows" (1968).
Formed in New York City in 1966 by brothers Lary (vocals, guitar) and Dennis Larden (vocals, guitar) and Bruce Milner (organ, piano), who began as folk rock musicians in Greenwich Village, the lineup also consisted of Schuyler Larson (bass) and Christopher Augustine (drums). Every Mother's Son recorded two albums before disbanding in 1968.
