ABOUT
Ray Conniff (November 6, 1916 - October 12, 2002) was a highly acclaimed and veteran bandleader, musical arranger, and trombonist who became famous during the 1960s for his many easy listening works. Best known hits by Ray Conniff & The Singers include the Grammy-winning "Somewhere, My Love" (1966), sung to the music of "Lara's Theme" from the 1965 movie, "Dr Zhivago," co-starring Omar Sharif and Julie Christie.
A prolific recording artist, Ray Conniff charted 30 albums on the Billboard 200 through 1973, many featuring his signature wordless vocal choruses.
