ABOUTHighly acclaimed country singer (a.k.a. "First Lady Of Country Music"). Throughout the 1960s and 1970s, Wynette dominated the country charts. Her many hits include "I Don't Wanna Play House" (1967), "D-I-V-O-R-C-E" (1968), and the inflammatory "Stand By Your Man" (1968). Wynette also recorded many duets with George Jones.
