ABOUT
Cymarron was a male pop/soft rock trio that became famous during the early 1970s. They are best known for the romantic country pop ballad, "Rings" (1971), which makes reference to a James Taylor record playing on the stereo.
Formed in Memphis, Tennessee, the original lineup consisted of Richard Mainegra, Sherrill Parks, and Rick Yancey. Their group name was inspired by "Cimarron Strip," a short-lived TV Western series from the late 1960s.
