ABOUT
The Mike Curb Congregation was a choral pop group with an uplifting, easy listening sound that became famous during the early 1970s. Best known for the cheery "Candy Man" (1972, with Sammy Davis, Jr.), which topped both the Adult Contemporary and Pop/Rock charts, other hits include the rousing "Burning Bridges" (1970) and the jaunty "Long Haired Lover From Liverpool" (1972, with Little Jimmy Osmond).
This multi-member ensemble was formed in 1969 by Mike Curb (b. 1944), a veteran musician, record label executive, former politician, and the founder of Curb Records where he currently serves as the chairman.
