ABOUT
Carl Douglas (b. May 10, 1942) is a veteran Jamaican-British singer-songwriter who became famous during the mid 1970s. He is best known for the self-penned "Kung Fu Fighting" (1974), a high-energy disco classic featuring an Oriental riff which topped both the R&B and Pop/Rock charts in the U.S. as well as many other charts worldwide. Released at the height of the martial arts movie craze, this song eventually went on to sell eleven million records worldwide, making it one of the top-selling singles of all time.
