ABOUT
Commander Cody & His Lost Planet Airmen were a multi-member country rock band led by George Frayne (July 19, 1944 - September 26, 2021) with a flair for novelty songs and early rock & roll that became famous during the early 1970s. Best known for their rollicking smash remake of the Charlie Ryan-penned "Hot Rod Lincoln" (1972), other hits include their hit rendition of Tex Williams' "Smoke! Smoke! Smoke! (That Cigarette)" (1973).
