ABOUT
The Flairs were a doo-wop group from Los Angeles that became famous during the early 1960s. They are best known for the aptly-named dance smash, "Foot Stomping - Part 1" (1961), in which actual foot tapping noises can be heard throughout.
Formed in 1952 at Jefferson High School and originally known as The Debonaires, the classic early 1960s hitmaking lineup consisted of Willie Davis, George Hollis, Thomas Miller, and lead singer Aaron Collins, with many personnel and name changes during the group's existence up through its split in 1964. Aaron Collins (September 3, 1930 - March 27, 1997), who was also a member of The Cadets and The Jacks, went on to record solo through the late 1960s.
