The Halos - Songs

ABOUT

The Halos were a doo-wop group that became famous during the early 1960s. They are best known for the humorous Top 40 smash, "Nag" (1961), in which fake cackling hen sounds can be heard throughout.

Formed in The Bronx, New York, the original lineup consisted of Al Cleveland, J.R. Bailey, Harold Johnson, and Arthur Crier (April 1, 1935 - July 22, 2004), with some personnel changes. After their peak in commercial fame, The Halos continued as a backing group and can be heard on such oldies classics as Curtis Lee's "Pretty Little Angel Eyes," Gene Pitney's "Every Breath I Take," and Barry Mann's "Who Put The Bomp."
