Hot Chocolate - Songs

ABOUT

Hot Chocolate is a veteran English R&B/soul/funk group with a great deal of crossover appeal that became famous during the 1970s and early 1980s. Best known in the U.S. and worldwide for the upbeat and playful "You Sexy Thing" (1975), a Top 10 smash on both the R&B and Pop/Rock charts, other big hits include the reflective ballad, "Emma" (1975), the funky "Disco Queen" (1975), and the feel-good "Every 1's A Winner" (1978).

Formed in 1968 in London by bassist Tony Wilson and lead singer Errol Brown (November 12, 1943 - May 6, 2015), who served as the group's main songwriters, the classic hitmaking lineup also included Tony Connor (drums, percussion), Larry Ferguson (keyboards), Harvey Hinsley (guitars), and Patrick Olive (percussion). Key personnel changes at the height of the group's commercial fame included the departure of Wilson in 1975, who was briefly replaced by Brian Satterwhite until he left the group and Olive switched to bass as his primary instrument.

Their unique blend of R&B, soul, and funk allowed Hot Chocolate to thrive during the disco era, and they became one of only a few acts to have at least one hit song every year on the U.K. charts from 1970 to 1984. They have continued to perform and record to the present day with a lineup that includes original members Connor, Hinsley, and Olive.
