ABOUT
The Jamies were a male-female doo-wop group best known for the very catchy and exuberant "Summertime, Summertime" (1958, 1962 remake). The group's founding members consisted of Serena Jameson, brother Tom Jameson, Jeannie Roy, and Arthur Blair, with some personnel changes along the way. "Summertime, Summertime," which made the Top 40 twice, was this group's only charted song. This relentlessly cheery tune is a long-time favorite frequently played on oldies radio stations to celebrate the season for which it has been named.
