R.B. Greaves (November 28, 1943 - September 27, 2012) was an R&B/soul/pop singer who became famous during the late 1960s and early 1970s. Best known for the breezy, Latin-styled "Take A Letter Maria" (1969), a Top 5 smash that became a million-seller, other big hits include a remake of the Burt Bacharach/Hal David-penned "Always Something There To Remind Me" (1970).

Born Ronald Bertram Aloysius Greaves III on an Air Force base in Georgetown, (British) Guyana), he grew up on a Seminole Indian reservation in the U.S. and moved to England in 1963. He was a nephew of soul legend Sam Cooke.
