ABOUT
The DeFranco Family was a Canadian bubblegum/pop family group from Port Colborne, Ontario fronted by teen idol Tony DeFranco (b. 1959) that became famous during the early 1970s. Their best known songs include the upbeat "Heartbeat - It's A Lovebeat" (1973) and their hit cover of The Drifters' "Save The Last Dance For Me" (1974). The DeFranco Family, whose popularity rivaled that of The Osmonds, made numerous appearances on TV and in teen magazines.
