The Equals - Songs

ABOUT

The Equals are a veteran and influential English rock band with a unique sound incorporating elements of pop, soul, blues, ska, and Merseybeat that became famous during the late 1960s. They are best known for the catchy "Baby, Come Back" (1968), a U.S. Top 40 hit and million-seller which topped the charts in the U.K. and several other countries worldwide.

Formed in 1964 in North London by John Hall (drums) and Eddy Grant (lead guitar), who served as the group's main songwriter, the original lineup also included Pat Lloyd (rhythm guitar) and brothers Derv (vocals) and Lincoln Gordon (rhythm guitar), with many personnel changes over the years. After disbanding in 1979, The Equals reformed in 1982 due to public demand in Germany and have continued to perform and record actively to the present day, with Hall as the only remaining original member.
