The Flying Machine - Songs

ABOUT

The Flying Machine was a short-lived English bubblegum pop group that became famous during the late 1960s. Best known for the comforting "Smile A Little Smile For Me" (1969), which made the Pop/Rock Top 5 and became a million-seller, other hits include "Baby Make It Soon" (1970).

Formed in 1969 in Rugby, Warwickshire, the lineup consisted of Stuart Colman (bass, electric piano), Steve Jones (lead guitars, vocals), Sam Kempe (vocals), Paul Wilkinson (drums), and lead singer Tony Newman (guitars). By 1971, the group had disbanded and Colman (December 19, 1944 - April 19, 2018) went on to a successful career as a session musician, record producer, and deejay on BBC Radio.
