Georgie Fame (b. 1943) is a highly acclaimed and veteran English R&B/jazz singer, pianist, organist, and guitarist who became famous during the 1960s. He is best known for "Yeh, Yeh" (1965), "Get Away" (1966), and "The Ballad Of Bonnie And Clyde" (1968), which all topped the U.K. charts and became big hits in the U.S. and other countries worldwide. "Yeh, Yeh" and "The Ballad Of Bonnie And Clyde" became million-sellers and went gold.

Born Clive Powell in Lancashire, England, he began his long career while still in his teens as a pianist with The Blue Flames, Billy Fury's backup group. After splitting with Fury, they were rebilled as Georgie Fame & The Blue Flames and continued through the 1960s to great hitmaking success. Georgie Fame launched a solo career in the 1970s, and he has continued to perform and record actively to the present day, often working with such contemporaries as Van Morrison, Alan Price, and Bill Wyman.
