ABOUT
The Hudson Brothers were a pop/garage rock sibling group that became famous during the mid 1970s. They are best known for the Beatles sound-alike ballad,"So You Are A Star" (1974), and the catchy and upbeat "Rendezvous" (1975), which both made the Top 40.
Formed in Portland, Oregon in 1965 while all members were still in their teens, the lineup consisted of brothers Bill, Brett, and Mark Hudson. They gained recognition in the late 1960s under the moniker, The New Yorkers, releasing several garage rock singles before transitioning to the name Hudson and achieving fame in the 1970s as teen idols with their own Saturday-morning sketch comedy series, "The Hudson Brothers Razzle Dazzle Show," which aired on CBS from 1974 to 1975. In addition to "So You Are A Star" and "Rendezvous," they also had hits with "Lonely School Year" (1975) and "Help Wanted" (1976) before finally disbanding in 1981.
