ABOUT
Jigsaw was an English pop/rock group also incorporating elements of soft rock, blues, and progressive rock that became famous during the mid and late 1970s. Best known for the fiery disco/pop smash, "Sky High" (1975), which became a Top 5 hit on both the Adult Contemporary and Pop/Rock charts, other hits include "Love Fire" (1976), "Brand New Love Affair" (1976), and "If I Have To Go Away" (1977).
Formed in 1966 in the cities of Coventry and Rugby and fronted by singer-songwriter duo Clive Scott (vocals, keyboards) and Des Dyer (vocals, drums), the classic hitmaking lineup also consisted of Tony Campbell (guitar) and Barrie Bernard (bass), with some personnel changes beginning in the late 1970s. After the success of "Sky High," Jigsaw went on to record many albums and singles through the early 1980s and wrote and performed the soundtrack to the British sexploitation drama, "Home Before Midnight" (1979). After disbanding in 1983, Scott and Dyer continued to write songs for other artists, with Dyer occasionally reviving the Jigsaw group name for solo projects.
