ABOUT

Art Garfunkel (b. 1941) is a highly acclaimed and veteran singer, actor, and poet who became famous beginning in the 1960s as one half of the famed folk rock duo, Simon & Garfunkel. As a solo artist, his best known songs include the Top 10 smash, "All I Know" (1973, billed as Garfunkel), and his hit covers of The Flamingos' "I Only Have Eyes For You" (1975) and Sam Cooke's "(What A) Wonderful World" (1978, with James Taylor and Paul Simon). His many acting credits include co-starring roles in such critically acclaimed movies as "Catch-22" (1970), "Carnal Knowledge" (1971), and "Bad Timing" (1980).

Art Garfunkel's numerous honors and accolades include eight Grammys, including a Lifetime Achievement Award In 1990, and being inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame along with Paul Simon as a member of Simon & Garfunkel. His fine ethereal tenor vocals also earned him a spot in Rolling Stone's list of the 100 Greatest Singers of All Time.
