ABOUT
The Osmonds were a pop group of brothers Alan, Wayne, Merrill, Jay, and Donny Osmond. Led by Merrill Osmond, they started as a quartet in 1959, with Donny joining the group in 1963, and they were regulars on the Andy Williams show from 1962-1967.
The Osmonds best known songs include "Down By The Lazy River" (1972), "Crazy Horses" (1972), which features Jay as lead vocalist, and their chart topping debut song, "One Bad Apple" (1971), in which Donny Osmond pipes in on the refrain. Donny also started singing solo in 1971, and Alan, Wayne, Merrill, and Jay reformed as the Osmond Brothers in the early 1980s and had a string of hits on the Country charts from 1982-1986. (They released one song as the Osmond Brothers in 1971, "I Can't Stop.")
